Staff will guide you to the computer where you'll take the test.
Taking the test
- You will see instructions on the screen.
- You can move forward and backward between questions.
- You can change your answers before submitting.
- Use your time – 45 minutes is usually enough, but do not rush.
Results
You normally receive your result on the same day, often within minutes.
If you pass
You get a pass notification/letter – keep it very safe.
If you fail
The letter will show your score and you can book another test.
Why the pass letter matters
You must include your original pass letter when you apply for ILR or citizenship. It is important not to lose it. If you do misplace it, you may need to contact the test provider or book a new test, depending on current rules.
